Let’s send out our weird love notes
An immersive Joy-Led™ experience for mission-led women ready to unleash their voice and (finally) say what they really mean

Damn. It’s noisy out there. But we have nothing to fear! Because there are people waiting for the work we offer, and the unique way we communicate about it.
Yes, that’s right!
They are longing for us. Pure, unadulterated us. When we allow more of our essence, and what we truly want to say to be expressed, it helps them see themselves - or a version of themselves they long to inhabit, but don’t quite know how, yet. Which is where we, and our deeply needed work comes in.
This new immersion is inspired by my work with the communities of women I lead, my more than a decade as a business owner, and as importantly my experience as an emerging artist learning the craft of writing memoir.
Almost 4 years ago, when I submitted a 66,000 word first draft of what will be my debut book, my editor’s feedback was a loving slap in the face. And it is wisdom I have practiced applying to every piece of public writing since.
This is what she said about my perfectly ‘respectable’ first draft:
‘This needs to be transposed up a key. Strike that - a whole octave. It’s written like you have a pillow clutched to your chest. Drop it and show us who you really are.’
It was a life- and business- changing invitation. Accepting it transformed the manuscript, and started to transform my business writing too. It is now hardwired into my creative process after years of practice since. It has seen me shimmy past the conditioning we contend with as women as we step into our power, and communicate about our work, time and time and time again. It has supported me to deepen connection with and served the people I am here to work and collaborate with, who say things like ‘did you write that just for me!?’
And what do I love just as much as applying it to my own writing?
Supporting other women drop the pillow, and say what they are really here to say. In their invitations, on their home pages, in their posts, in their emails. It might not even be in their writing. It applies to conversations, video, podcasts, how we facilitate. Dropping the pillow is something we can practice everywhere!
Oh my! The feeling of seeing a woman unleash her voice, is one I shall never tire of.
In this world of ours, where everything is starting to sound the same, the time is ripe for us to send out our weird and wonderful love notes to our people, in our unique voice. They are waiting, I promise you.
The time for dimming our light to fit some kind of imagined, ‘right-way-to-do-it’ template is over.
There is no template, my friend! We are the template, and this session will support you to embody that as fully as you can, as you are, right now and begin to practice this wondrous frame in all your (business) communication forever more.
The format
You’ll bring something you want to hold as a focus for the session – it could be your home page, your about page, a social media post, an email, a draft invitation of an offering. Something where you have a draft, or some seeds of an idea that you know you’d like to create, or something already ‘out there’ that you know could go up a key.
Leaning into lovingly creative prompts, together we’ll drop into our fullness. We’ll connect with the soul and deepest truth of our work, and connect with the parts of us that are ready to speak.
Then we’ll move into the heart of the session: in-depth pair work, drawing on a powerful exercise designed to help you unlock the truths your copy doesn’t articulate (yet).
We’ll also spend time together in the big group, exploring what’s emerging and supporting one another in a very particular way, so we feel more ready yo take our voices out into the world and sing.
When and where?
[Insert time and date] over Zoom
There will be a recording available for everyone who attends live.
It is also recommended you bring a voice recorder to capture the gold from the break-out work.
How much?
[TBC]
How does this fit with my wider body of work?
My highest wish is that this workshop connects you more deeply with the power you already possess as a creative being. It’s a lovingly crafted, potentially transformational experience in its own right.
It may give you exactly what you need. Or it may open the door to exploring one of the ongoing community spaces I lead.
You can read about those here.

I can’t wait to see you there!
With love, and in creative power,
